Ann Arbors Forever Labs, a longevity company focused on the storage of adult stem cells for future health and wellness needs, has announced its laboratory has obtained the worlds first International Organization for Standardization (ISO) accreditation for the human biobanking of stem cells.

This certification means that Forever Labs clients can rest assured that from beginning to end, their cells are upheld to the highest standards of quality and safety that only an ISO accreditationcan bring, says Ann Hozeska-Solgot, lab director at the company.

The ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 164 national standards bodies. It brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market relevant international standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.

The accreditation requires extensive testing and documentation of the laboratory facilities, biobank processes, and storage space. The testing period on-site takes place over three days. The information then undergoes committee review for accreditation approval.

We are on a relentless pursuit to be the most high-quality and integrity-driven human biobank in the country, says Mark Katakowski, president and chief science officer at Forever Labs. Thisaccreditation further supports our commitment to clients and partners that we have their best interests at heart, while maintaining the highest possible standards of quality, care, and safety for years to come.

The company is present in 15 locations across the country through a network of partner physicians that offer stem cell extraction and storage.
